TRIBE @ CABLE (RED ROOM) WITH CULOE DE SOING (SOULISTIC MUSIC, SOUTH AFRICA)
FRIDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 2011
Tribe are thrilled to welcome back South Africa’s most exciting young producer/dj Culoe de Song for our party in the fantastic ‘Red Room’ at one of London’s top club’s Cable in London Bridge. Culoe is about to embark on a European tour to promote his soon to be released ‘Elevation’ album, due for release on Soulistic Music in August and from what we’ve heard so far it’s his best work to date!
Culoe joined Soulistic Music, a label founded by South African legend Black Coffee in 2008 and went onto produce his debut album “A Giant Leapâ€, which was nominated for the SAMA(South African Music Awards) and the Namibian Museke Awards. One of the tracks ‘100 Zulu Warriors’ was actually picked up by Tribe Records last year and the album has gained Culoe many thousands of fans across the world so there is a lot of anticipation for the follow up.
In the year 2009, Culoe De Song signed under Germany’s Innervisions, a family of acts such as Dixon, Ame, Henrik Schwarz… releasing tracks such as “The Bright Forestâ€, “Super Afro†& “African Subwayâ€, the project showing his true diversity as a producer and again gaining him more fans.
Culoe De Song has achieved a lot in a very short space of time for someone so young. Red Bull Music Academy selected him to be one of the worldwide participants to attend the Academy in Barcelona, and has gone on to globally promote the brand.
Clearly Culoe is a very talented man beyond his years and we look forward to another special set from him on the 9th September!

Welcoming back Mathew Bandy back to Denver. House Music at it’s finest!
Matthew Bandy grew up surrounded by the sounds coming out of the nearby Motor City and the many 45’s from his parents record collection. These sounds were to become a determining
factor in defining his musical approach today. Bandy’s communion with house music has now brought him to international recognition. Remaining true to his musicality, Bandy has interwoven passion and originality through his creative ambitions in djing, producing, promotions, and operating a record label. Bandy created the live act, Deep House Souldiers with partner Joel Hopper, now producer for Nappy Roots. In 2003 Matthew formed Limestone Recordings and moved to Denver, CO. Deep House Souldier’s went on to release, “This Is Why We Dance,” on Matthew’s own Limestone Recordings which was licensed to Ben Watt’s “Buzzin’ Fly Vol. 1” compilation. His label was also featured in Urb Magazine’s “Next 100â€. Now he has released a wide range of music on labels such as Soulheaven, Papa Recordings, Double Down, Foliage Records, Drop Music, Seasons, Nordictrax, and Tribe. Matthew has also worked with the likes of Josh Milan, Chez Damier, Dave Lee, Toni Economidies, Reel People, Jay Tripwire and Aaron Ross to name a few. You can find his music on compilations worldwide licensed on Defected, Universal, Om, Astralwerks, Large Records and many more. Now living in London, Matthew is living proof that no matter where one resides, originality and dedication is more important than ones locale.
